Rowe, Ann Lovell

About the poet: Ann Lovell Rowe spent the early part of her career in Africa. She began writing professionally in 1972 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the Ethiopian Herald. Returning to the USA in 1976, she enrolled in a Master’s of Humanities program at the University of Tulsa, where she studied writing and photography. From 1976 to 1990, Ann wrote and photographed for a variety of newspapers and organizations. In 1990 she went to Pakistan for four years and worked in communications. In 1993, the United States Information Service in Lahore hosted an exhibit of her photography called “Sense of Seeing: an Image Conversation between two Homes, USA and Pakistan.” In 1994, Ann moved permanently to Santa Fe and began a new series of photographs, primarily of New Mexico skies.
