Campi, Alicia

Alicia Campi is President of The Mongolia Society, President of the U.S.-Mongolia Advisory Group, and President of the Chinggis Khan Foundation. She has an A.B. in East Asia History from Smith College, M.A. in East Asian Studies from Harvard University, and Ph.D. in Uralic and Altaic Studies with a concentration in Mongolian Studies from Indiana University. She was a diplomat with the U.S. Department of State for 13 years and now is on the staff of the American Foreign Service Association’s Foreign Service Journal. She was awarded the “Friendship” Medal by Mongolian President Bagabandi for her contributions to U.S.-Mongolia bi-lateral relations in 2004 and presented with an Honorary Doctorate degree by the National University of Mongolia in 2007.
