Crosby, Charles

About the authors: Dr.. Charles Crosby is a graduate of Manchester University. He worked in social care research prior to concentrating on the evaluation of services for the elderly and mentally ill in the last fifteen years. He was Director of the Health Services Research Unit, School of Psychology, University of Wales, Bangor from 1989 to 1997. He is currently Reader in Mental Health in the School of Health and Human Sciences at Liverpool John Moores University. Dr. Keith Evans is a graduate of Leicester University. He has taught at De Montfort University. Subsdquently he was Health Economist for three years and Director for two years at the Health Services Research Unit, School of Psychology, University of Wales, Bangor. He has worked extensively on the economics of Adult Mental health Services, concentrating on the relationship between service user characteristics and costs. He is currently Health Economist at Ayrshire and Arran Health Board. Lesley A. Prendergast is a graduate of the School of Psychology, Bangor University She was a Research Officer in the Health Services Research Unit, School of Psychology, University of Wales, Bangor for five years. Currently she is Information Officer for the Dementia Services Development Centre, Institute of Medical and Social Care, University of Wales, Bangor.
