Loffler, Christa Maria

Christa Brennan-Löffler is an Applied Language Teacher for German at the National University of Ireland, Galway. She teaches German to Biotechnology and Science Students; she is responsible for the design, teaching, coordination and administration of the German Course for 1 st, 2 nd and 3 rd Year Biotechnology Students and also for the German Course for 2 nd and 3 rd Year Science Students at beginners’, intermediate and advanced level. Christa also teaches German language to Arts Students. The lecturer is a graduate of the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg, Austria, where she studied English language, English and American literature and also Psychology; she obtained her doctorate at the University of Salzburg (1985). In the course of her studies at Salzburg she was awarded the annual research scholarship given to an Austrian postgraduate student by the Irish government. Christa then carried out research for her PhD at the Department of Irish Folklore at U.C.D. (1979-1980).
