Kalipeni, Ezekiel
About the authors: Dr. Kalipeni received his PhD from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He is currently Assistant Professor of Geography at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is the author of Population Growth and Environmental Degradation in Southern Africa (Lynne Rienner Publishers) and many published articles.
Dr. Thiuri received his PhD from Syracuse University. He is currently Associate Professor in the Environmental Science and Geography Dept at William Paterson College, Wayne, New Jersey. He has written many monographs and research papers. He has held offices in several African developmental groups, including the Kenya Institute of Administration, the African Medical and Research Foundation, the Agricultural Finance Corporation (Kenya), and was a Lecturer at Kenyatta University College, University of Nairobi.
