Wright, George T.

George T. Wright is Regents Professor of English, Emeritus, at the University of Minnesota (Twin Cities) and the author of Shakespeare's Metrical Art (1988), Hearing the Measures (2001), W. H. Auden (revised edition, 1981), Aimless Life (poems, 1999), and, among many articles, "Hendiadys and Hamlet" (PMLA, 1981), which, like an earier article of his, won the Modern Language Association's William Riley Parker Prize. Now retired and living in Tucson, AZ, he served in Europe in the U. S. Army in World War II. His wife of fifty-one years, Jessie Honeywell, died in 2006.
