Robin, Gerald D.

About the author: Dr. Robin has a PhD in sociology from the University of Pennsylvania. Prior to joining the criminal justice faculty at the University of New Haven, Dr. Robin was Director of Research & Evaluation for the Philadelphia Regional Planning Office of the Governor’s Justice Commission, the state planning agency under the LEAA. He has also served as a consultant to the President’s Commission on Law Enforcement & Administration and the National Commission on Marijuana and Drug Abuse. A nationally-recognized criminologist, Dr. Robin has published extensively in the field of criminal justice and criminology over a thirty-year period. This includes his introductory criminal justice text by Harper-Collins, scholarly monographs on gun control and drunk driving, and numerous journal articles on a variety of criminal justice subjects.
