Dr. Greg Dawes is Professor of Latin American Literature and Culture at North Carolina State University and Editor of the journal, A contracorriente. He received his Ph.D. in Romance Languages and Literatures from the University of Washington. He is also the author of Aesthetics and Revolution: Nicaraguan Poetry, 1979-1990 (University of Minnesota Press, 1992) and Verses Against the Darkness: Pablo Neruda's Poetry and Politics (Bucknell University Press, 2006).
