Cole, Jack
About the author: Jack Cole received his MD at the University of Pennsylvania, just in time to become a battalion surgeon in the 13th Infantry as it was headed for Ulster in preparation for the Normandy campaign in which he shed some blood in the Battle of the Hedgerows. He spent four years as physician for Lehigh University before opening a private practice of family medicine in Bethlehem. After sixteen years of this, he joined the Peace Corps and served for five years in Afghanistan, Swaziland, and India. Home again, he practiced another sixteen years before retiring and taking up writing, in which his main endeavor has been articles, children’s stories, and poetry.
