Stanley, Jerome

About the author: Dr. Jerome Stanley received his PhD from the University of Cincinnati. He is Professor Emeritus of Miami University, Ohio, and was trained in both the practical and theoretical aspects of music. His career has encompassed the teaching and performance of music for more than forty years. He has been a piano soloist, chamber musician and accompanist, performing in both Europe and the United States, with appearances at the Kennedy Center and Carnegie Recital Hall in New York. The majority of his career has been devoted to teaching. He has also authored a book on relationships between Western music and art entitled Historical Parallels in the Arts (1995).
