Cochran, Judy
About the author: Judy Cochran is Professor of French at Denison University, where she teaches literature and creative writing. She is the author of Selected Poems of Andrée Chedid (Mellen, 1995), the first French-English anthology of poetry by Andrée Chedid. She has known and worked with Madame Chedid since 1986. Dr. Cochran has published articles on poetry and poetics and writes poetry in both English and French.

Chedid authored 27 volumes of poetry, and won prestigious prizes in Europe, but is known in the US only for fiction.
