About the editors:
Kay Chadwick is Lecturer in French at the University of Liverpool. She received her PhD from the University of Hull. She is the author of studies on the legacy of Vichy in history, literature and film, on secularism and education, and on Church-State relations in France. She is currently completing a monograph on Alphonse de Châteaubriant.
Timothy Unwin is James Barrow Professor of French at the University of Liverpool. He received his PhD from the University of Exeter. He has authored numerous studies on 19th-century literature, and was volume editor of The Cambridge Companion to the French Novel (1997). He recently completed a book on reflexivity in the French Realist novel and is currently working on a major study of Jules Verne.
