Keith Hart is a Senior Research Fellow at the The Arkleton Instituteand was formerly Director of the African Studies Centre at Cambridge University.
He has held visiting appointments in the USA and Canada.

The report identifies and measures the impact of development on rural areas in relationship to economic growth or decline.
