Sorensen, Lars-Martin
Lars-Martin Sorensen is a postdoctoral research fellow at the Section of Film & Media Studies, University of Copenhagen. He obtained his Ph.D. in Film Studies from the same academic institution. He has published numerous articles on Japanese film, is a co-editor of the peer reviewed film journal Kosmorama, and a member of the steering committee of the Nordic Association for the Study of Contemporary Japan (NAJS).

This book investigates how Japanese fiction films produced during the American occupation 1945-1952 subverted occupation film censorship. It is based on extensive archival research and the primary focus is on the films of Yasujiro Ozu and Akira Kurosawa.
