Slade, Leonard A. Jr.

Dr. Slade received his PhD from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is currently tenured Professor of Africana Studies, Adjunct Professor of English, and past Chair of the Department of African Studies at the State University of New York at Albany. He is also currently National President of The Langston Hughes Society. He has won many professional teaching awards, and published ten books, and his work has appeared in many reviews and journals.
