Welch, Lisa C.

Lisa C. Welch is Assistant Professor of Sociology and Graduate Program Director at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville in the United States. Her teaching and research focus on U.S. social policy, class and gender stratification, and social inequalities. She completed her doctoral studies at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Prior to her current position, she conducted research at Brown University’s Center for Gerontology and Health Care Research, specializing in the use of qualitative methods for examining the quality of end-of-life medical care.
