Author of ten novels (with two more due to appear in 2009), eight plays, three volumes of poetry, and more than 100 short stories and tales, Lucette Desvignes has won numerous literary prizes and distinctions, including the Prix Roland Dorgelès, the Prix de l’Humour Alexis Piron, and the prestigious Prix Bourgogne. She was featured on Bernard Pivot’s famous literary show “Apostrophes.” A literary prize for the short story — the Prix Lucette Desvignes de la Nouvelle — was created in her honor. Desvignes continues to write and to contribute to the literature of the 21st century.
