About the editor: Meir Lubetski, a professor of modern languages and comparative literature at Baruch College, CUNY, received a PhD in Judaic studies from New York University. His major publications deal with the Bible world, Jewish navigation in the Greco-Roman period, and Egypto-Semitic connections.
