Khan, Shahadat
Born into a liberal Muslim family, Dr. Shahadat Khan was educated in the U.K., U.S.A., and Canada. He was a Fulbright scholar and received a Social Sciences Research Council dissertation fellowship. He taught History at the University of Chittagong, Bangladesh, from 1975-1987. His current research interest is in the Rational humanist Muslim intellectuals’ debate with Neo-orthodox and Islamic liberal groups in colonial Bengal.
