About the author: Yu-chen Lin is Professor of Foreign Languages and Literature at National Sun Yat-sen University, Taiwan. She has published several articles on James Joyce, Joyce Cary, and Sean O’Faolain, translated into Chinese Peter Costello’s James Joyce: the Years of Growth 1882-1915, and edited the Chinese rendition of Ulysses (the Xiao Quian version) and James Joyce and His World by Chester G. Anderson.
