Problem of Polarization an Approach Based on the Writings of G. C. Berkouwer

This study discussed areas in which the harmful effects of polarization are keenly felt: Scripture as divine word and human words; grace and faith; evangelism and ecumenism; apologetics and proclamation; evangelism and social concern. Though Berkouwer's perspective is prominent, there is dialogue with other writers: Karl Barth, Paul Tillich, Wolfhart Pannenberg, Karl Marx and Herbert Marcuse. Theology's practical significance is emphasized.
