Psychological Analysis of Abused Women of the Appalachian Coalfields

This study uses current feminist theories of personality development to describe how three women ended abusive relationships and, as a result, changed their positions in the family and community. This work will interest those working in Appalachian history, psychology, education, and gender studies.
